Non-resident Swimmers - Swimmers who live outside Park Paseo association boundaries. To be an eligible non-resident, swimmers must either (a) attend, or previously attended, Santiago Hills Elementary, OR (b) live between Culver/Irvine/Portola/Jeffrey. You must also designate a sponsor who resides in Park Paseo who will allow you access to the pool for practices, as you will not be receiving a key to the pool. Each Park Paseo resident can only sponsor one family. Non-resident swimmer registration on the team is tentative until May 19th (i.e., if the team is at capacity, a non-resident swimer may be required to forefeit their spot to make room for an additional resident).
Volunteering Requirement
Our swim meets and team would not be such a success if it were not for the full participation of our great parents. Volunteering is a REQUIREMENT in order to participate in the swim practices, dual meets, social events, Championship meet and the end-of-year party. It is essential to the team that families complete the jobs they have chosen. Accordingly, a "no show" fee of $250 will be incurred for showing up late or each volunteer job missed. Your swimmer will not be allowed to return to practice, meets, or other team events until you have settled this amount with the team.
Please submit a $250 check per family payable to "Park Paseo Northstars" and include 1 of your swimmer's name on the check. The check will be destroyed at the end of the season unless we need to assess the "no show" fee. If we cash your check, you will need to provide a new check for your swimmer to participate in any team activity.
Volunteer job sign ups will start on May 5th, the day after the Parent Meeting.
